The best moving tips I can give you it to get rid of anything you don't use on a regular basis and be brutal with you decisions. For example, find that old ill fitting jacket and get rid of it! If you are waffling on some things then put them in a separate pile and ask some who is good at getting rid of things to go through it and donate what they think you don't use. Hopefully it is the whole pile.
In the kitchen donate any pats, pans, dishes, glasses you don't use. You will be amazed at all the extra things you have collected. In the basement get rid of all the old electrical junk which is out dated but can be recycled for its metals.
Then go to you closets and make more brutal decisions. If you haven't worn something this year it is gone. There should be bags of clothes ready to donate by the end of the day.
Next is furniture, what will fit into the new home and only that those pieces. This is a cleansing process so allow yourself to leave things behind. You will feel much better when this process is finished.
